TACT: Talented Athletes & Coaches Training

The Program

The TACT program was implemented in 2010/11 as the Association’s development pathway to assist with player and coach progression within the Netball WA pathway. Any WDNA affiliated players turning 12 or above  (in the following year) can register to trial. Successful athletes with then represent Wanneroo Districts Netball Association at the Fuel to Go and play Association Championships, held over the June long weekend, at Matthews Netball Centre in Jolimont.

**NOTE – ALL Athletes are encouraged to apply for the TACT program as the pathway has changed and Metro League trials will now be held in June 2021 for an August/Sept competition. ALL Athletes will be eligible to participate (including TACT athletes) in the Metro League competition for 2021.

All coaches involved in the TACT program will be assisted with working their way through the Coach Accreditation pathway and will, in turn, use this knowledge to develop the Association talented athletes.

There will be greater emphasis on “quality” of the skills and strategies taught to the squad and a higher expectation that the chosen athletes will be able to produce these quality skills consistently. Information has also been forwarded to all club contacts to pass on to their members.

Here is the link to register for the Fuel to Play & Go Championships for the long weekend in June 2021.
